Yoga in the Greenhouse
Join us for yoga in the greenhouse! There is no better way to boost your mood than by practicing yoga while embracing the warm + sunny greenhouse, surrounded by lush plants!
Blu Bird Studio will lead us through a fun, gentle flow class that is wonderful for all skill levels + those who like to have fun while being active! We will finish off the class with deep stretches and mindful breathing. IT'S ALWAYS SO FUN!
The $15 cost of this class includes yoga instruction, a refreshing drink, and a $5 shopping coupon from Mill Creek! Bring your own mat + dress in layers!

Build the Perfect Summer Planter
Date: Saturday, June 14
Time: 10:30-11:30
Cost: $20 for first planter + cost of flowers to fill planter(+$8 planting cost + price of planter/plants for each additional planter you plant). Reserve your $20 ticket now + pay for your flowers + additional planters on the day of the workshop.
What to Bring: You are welcome to bring your own planters(s) or purchase planters from Mill Creek.
Join us for a fun & interactive workshop where you will learn to create a beautiful floral planter to accent your home! At this workshop, Mill Creek staff will offer great choices for sun & shade planters and share tips on how to keep your flowers blooming through fall. You will also learn about new flower varieties, the latest trends, + how to integrate them into your planter design. You are welcome to bring your own planters and planters will also be available for purchase.
The cost of the workshop includes potting soil, expert instruction, + a beverage.
What to Wear: On a sunny day, our greenhouse can get pretty warm SO dress in layers & wear functional & comfortable shoes (tennis shoes, rain boots).

Acrylic Painting Class in the Greenhouse

Come paint a floral acrylic painting on canvas in the greenhouse this summer! Carmen Duran, artist, will teach a class using acrylic paints. It's going to be a wonderful time of learning and stretching our creativity.
Each attendee will complete an 8x10 canvas painting using a limited palette of acrylic paint. We will use brushes and palette knives to create the painterly effect shown in this example. We will talk about color, textures, layering, and joy!
A complimentary cold beverage will be included in the class.

Mindfulness Greenhouse Walk
When: Wednesday, June 25, 6:30-7:30 pm
Location: Mill Creek Gardens - 8839 Mill Creek Drive, Marshfield, Wisconsin
Cost: $5/person
Join us for a grounding + guided exercise of being present + at peace, all while surrounded by lush plants in the greenhouse!
This is an amazing opportunity to practice several mental health skills all at once! Our mindfulness walk will include:
- A guided mindfulness exercise that will engage all your senses
- A realistic deep breathing exercise that is scientifically proven to lower stress levels
- A time to practice and refine skills to decrease seasonal depression symptoms
This mindfulness walk will be led by Liz Cravillion, counselor in training, and Carissa Weber, MA, LPC, CSAC, of The Joyful Mind, LLC + they will touch on how plants change our brain + have the potential to improve our mental health. During our time, we will also discuss how to develop healthy coping skills + learn what resources are available in the community for promoting mental wellness.
The cost of the guided exercise is $5/person – reservations required; space is limited. Refreshing drinks + a Mill Creek shopping coupon will be provided to each attendee.

Indoor Plant Care ESSENTIALS Class

Whether you're a budding plant parent or looking to expand your green thumb skills, our Indoor Plant Care ESSENTIALS Class is the perfect opportunity to gain more confidence and learn Mill Creek’s TOP 5 ESSENTIAL plant care practices. What a great way to spend your lunch period!
In this judgement free, informal class, you’ll have the opportunity to ask specific plant care questions + even go home with a new FREE plant baby from Mill Creek!
You’re also welcome to bring plants or pictures of your plants that are in need of rehabilitation. Mill Creek staff will be available to troubleshoot with you and give recommendations!

Plants for Kids Class

Plants are for kids, too! At this come and go event, we'll help kids plant an indoor plant and teach them how to care for it, while teaching them about how plants make people happy and giving a quick informative chat about kinds of plants and how they grow.
This event is FREE and will go as long as supplies last. If we run out of plants before the event is over we will post on our social media stories.
**For interested grownups, we have scheduled Indoor Plant Essentials classes for the summer, which are also free and come with a free plant. Reserve your ticket online for those if you'd like to learn more about growing plants indoors!**
