The greenhouse tour will include a backstage pass to our propagation house where we start over one million plants per year from seed, tissue culture, or cutting. You’ll also learn more about Mill Creek’s passion for sustainability + automation, straight from our Head Grower. We’re anxious to show you the various crops that keep our greenhouses full all year long! And if you’re lucky, you’ll see some the wildlife that enjoys our space daily; monarchs, hummingbirds, bumble bees + more!
While mingling before dinner we will enjoy non-alcoholic mixed drinks + appetizers by Chef Rob, who has won local awards for his hors d'oeuvres.
Then, it will be time to enjoy a four-course meal in our charming greenhouse filled to the brim with lush plants. The vision of Chef Rob's Vila’s Farm to Table is simple: to highlight the delicious Protein and Produce provided by our Local Farmers through simple preparation and thoughtfulness. He will serve dishes highlighting spring fruits and vegetables like rhubarb, asparagus, + wild ramps, with a main dish of Lemon Ricotta Gnocchi with Crispy Confit Duck.
