Succulent Centerpiece Workshop

Join us for a fun + informative succulent centerpiece workshop! During our time together, we will discuss succulent care + design, all while planting a gorgeous living centerpiece for your patio or inside your home!
This is a perfect activity to do independently or with a friend, kiddo, or grandchild! You'll feel refreshed after digging in the dirt + getting some vitamin D!
The cost of this workshop ($59) includes a gray terra cotta succulent dish, soil, + succulents of your own choosing to fill it!

Children's Storytime @ Mill Creek - Helper Pets

Join us for a fun Children's Storytime! We're hosting Therapy Dog friend, Miss Remy Bell, who will be available for cuddles for our friends.
We'll read some stories about helper pets. Come ready for a special time with an amazing guest. This storytime is great for all ages + free treats will be provided (for the grownups, too).
Other activities during your visit: You kids are welcome to stop at our free coloring station or go on a scavenger hunt in the greenhouse! You're also welcome to shop our plants + goods! This is a great all-in-the-family event!
Pilates in the Greenhouse

Mat Pilates is a full-body, core-centered workout that focuses on strength, stability, posture, and flexibility — all from the mat. Using controlled movements and breath, Pilates strengthens not just your abs but your entire body, creating balance and resilience in everyday life. Expect to tone, lengthen, and energize your body while leaving class feeling stronger, lighter, and more connected.
Katie Will has been teaching Pilates for almost 15 years and completed her Comprehensive Pilates Teacher training through Balanced Body, one of the industry leaders in Pilates training. She continually partakes in continuing education opportunities and some of her favorites have been private mentorship in Classical Pilates, researched based pre and postpartum training, and exploring advanced anatomy topics with world-class kinesiologists. Her passion shines through with each client she works with and she aims to create an uplifting environment that not only improves movement quality but genuinely makes people’s lives better.
This class is beginner-friendly and adaptable to all levels.

Inside our shop you’ll find fun new spring displays, sustainable goods, + gardening supplies! Our indoor plant greenhouse is full of gorgeous plants to take home + will hold you over until you're ready to enjoy plants outside!

Living Succulent Wreath Workshop

Join us for a fun + creative workshop to make your very own living succulent wreath. These wreaths thrive through the summer + can be overwintered indoors to be enjoyed for many seasons to come!
The cost of this workshop includes a wire wreath frame, sphagnum moss, succulent cuttings (enough to pack that sucker full!), step-by-step instruction. This workshop is a popular one, so sign up early! This workshop will be housed in our greenhouse so dress in layers (it can by chilly in the morning + warm once the sun comes out!)

Plant Care ESSENTIALS Class: Pests + Disease

Cost: FREE + receive a free plant!
Reservations required, space is limited to 20 participants per class
You've got questions about pests + diseases on your indoor and outdoor plants, and we've got answers. This 45-minute class will be taught by our lead grower, Erik Winer, and provide lots of info for you, as well as space to ask your specific questions on the topic.
In this judgement free, informal class, you’ll have the opportunity to ask specific plant care questions + even go home with a new FREE plant baby from Mill Creek!
You’re also welcome to bring plants or pictures of your plants that are in need of rehabilitation. Mill Creek staff will be available to troubleshoot with you and give recommendations!

Mom's Night Out @ Mill Creek
Date + Time: Thursday, May 7th 6pm - 9pm

Ticket for Mom - $75
Ticket for "Mom's Loved One" (charcuterie, drinks + photos included) - $30
Join us for relaxed evening of celebrating mom! Included in the "Ticket for Mom" is delicious charcuterie spread by the Milk Merchant in Wausau, a 12” spring planter, a guided watercolor painting session with a lovely frame to take home, + 2-3 professional photos of your group.
Guests will have the opportunity to plant their own 12” hanging basket or planter! Mill Creek staff will not only walk you thru the planting process but also give recommendations on the perfect plants for you!
Stephanie, our retail manager (with a degree in art education!), will lead a fun and beginner-friendly watercolor painting session. She’ll guide everyone step-by-step in creating a beautiful spring piece that guests can take home framed as a special keepsake.
Olivia of Photography by Olivia will be shooting professional photos of each group who attends as a special memory keepsake for Mom + guests.
If you would like to attend but do not want to partake in the painting or planting activity, you can purchase a $30 “Mom’s Loved One” ticket which will include appetizers, drinks + photos (only). “Mom’s Love Ones” will have the opportunity to add on a painting or a planter during the event if they'd like (additional costs of these services + products will be due at the event).

Spring Fling @ Mill Creek

Celebrate spring at Mill Creek with a fun-filled day of DELICIOUS food from KamBray's Food Truck (serving from 10a-3p), beverages from Ranch Roadie, and a drop-in spring planter workshop!
Our outdoor patio will be fresh + ready for you to munch, relax, + enjoy the beautiful weather! We'll have a special spring scavenger hunt for kids of all ages.

Build the Perfect Spring Planter - DROP IN Workshop

Sunday, May 17 1PM-3PM
Cost: $20 for first planter + cost of flowers to fill planter (+$8 planting cost + price of planter/plants for each additional planter you plant). Pay for your flowers + planters on the day of the workshop - no prior reservations needed.
What to Bring: You are welcome to bring your own planters(s) or purchase planters from Mill Creek.
Join us for a fun + interactive workshop during our Spring Fling where you will learn to create a beautiful floral planter to accent your home! At this workshop, Mill Creek staff will offer great choices for sun + shade planters and share tips on how to keep your flowers blooming through fall. You will also learn about new flower varieties, the latest trends, + how to integrate them into your planter design. You are welcome to bring your own planters and planters will also be available for purchase.
What to Wear: On a sunny day, our greenhouse can get pretty warm SO dress in layers; wear functional + comfortable shoes (tennis shoes, rain boots).

Gentle Garden Hours
When: Monday, May 18

Cost: FREE
Join us for a sensory-friendly experience at Mill Creek for those who are elderly or have unique needs.
During this special time, we will lower the noise + offer a peaceful atmosphere for you to connect with loved ones, all while taking in the beauty of flowers in the greenhouse.
We're offering complimentary coffee, places to sit + relax, and ample space to peruse all our spring flowers. You may even consider bringing a book to read, a deck of cards to play, or another hobby you enjoy.
Our space is fully wheelchair, stroller, + walker accessible. We also have a spacious guest restroom. Mill Creek staff will be available to assist in any planting activity, as well.
Our greenhouse is for everyone + we welcome you!
