Our entree will be roasted chicken with a Door County cherry balsamic reduction, alongside rosemary and garlic fingerling potatoes. Then for dessert we'll enjoy whole baked apples with oat crumble + homemade ice cream. Our refreshing lineup of mocktails will include Maple Beet Smash and a Cranberry Sage Spritzer.

Help Give Dixie a Second Chance at Life
Meet Dixie— a brave soul with gentle eyes who has already endured more than most dogs ever should. She was saved from a hoarding situation, along with 50+ cats and 20+ dogs. It’s debatable that Dixie endured the most mental and physical abuse from her abuser. Dixie spent all two years of her short life on a chain, running in circles trying to run from her reality.
She was continually bred over and over again by other dogs and her body shows the trauma. Dixie is now safe in our care, but the road to recovery is just beginning. She’s been spayed, fully vaccinated, entropion (inverted eyelashes) surgically corrected, long term ear infections treated and much needed weight gain.
This sweet two year-old Dalmatian is battling severe anxiety everyday as a result of her traumatic past. She continuously paces in a circle, even in a large yard, because that’s all she’s ever known. She’s on anti anxiety medication and natural supplements as well as lots of mental and physical exercise to keep her busy.
She needs continuous veterinary care to monitor her ears and anxiety, nutritious food, and a loving environment to heal.
But we can’t do it without your help.
Every dollar you donate goes directly to Dixie’s medical treatment, rehabilitation, and basic care. With your support, we can give this deserving pup a chance at a healthy, happy life — maybe even a forever home.
Please consider being a Hero today. Purchasing a Hero Puppy Yoga Ticket will help buy a meal for her or cover part of her many vet visits.
Let’s show Dixie that kindness still exists, and her community
loves her.
Copper Paws Rescue, Inc. seeks to help local animals through fostering, adoption, education, necessary health services, and community outreach. We work with regional surrounding homes to provide education, vaccinations, and spay and neuter services to all animals involved. We work to build a close community of those who value animals and treat them with the kindness they deserve.
Copper Paws Rescue, Inc seeks to find permanent adoptive families for animals in the local central Wisconsin region, provide necessary veterinary services to impoverished families in central Wisconsin, and to connect with the community to work together to educate on responsible pet ownership.
We ask that you leave your lovely pups home for this event - all furry friends will be from Copper Paws Rescue! All ages [of humans!] are welcome! All precautions will be taken to ensure safety for dogs + yogis!

Seasonal Affective Disorder
Date: Wednesday, October 22
Time: 6:00-7:30 pm
Location: Mill Creek Gardens - 8839 Mill Creek Drive, Marshfield, Wisconsin
Cost: $10
Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons, usually beginning in the fall and continuing on into the spring months. In Wisconsin, we can really feel its effects because the cold and dark come quickly and last a long time.
But we can support our mental health during these months! It doesn't have to be as hard this year if we know how to help ourselves. Come learn about SAD with Carissa Weber, licensed professional counselor, about SAD and ways to help. We'll talk about the part that plants can play in nurturing our mental health and get our hands in the soil together.
Everyone will take home a free indoor plant and good information to carry into the fall + winter months, plus get to enjoy a free beverage.
Come enjoy an educational + restorative evening in the greenhouse with us!
*Scholarships are available if cost is prohibitive - email us for more information.
